Human for human?

Hello, this is just a thought, but:

There's something so vile and fragile in this world. It is the idea of becoming a human. Physically, human is just an animal. However, what is truly human for us human? We are being that wants to be, being that's able to dream a goal, some might argued or have research about it as an extension to our primal instinct. Some of us desire power for pleasure instead of physical nourishment.

We are aware of this phenomenon; the phenomenon of existentialism. When we've acquired any form of identity, we immediately ties that as the point of reference of our existence. Our life is very ideological, not to mention when it comes to religious identity.

What does it mean for us human, to be a human? Are we the product of the people in our environment? Some says, "We are what we made ourselves to be". What truth does that statement carries if we're born out of another human being's body? What is our purpose? Everything must be tied to our environment and our common sense in that area.
